Phil Ryan, Attorney/Author of All Sins Remembered
Phil Ryan ended more than four decades as a celebrated national trial lawyer, specializing in criminal defense and entertainment law. He successfully represented rock and movie stars, elected public officials and sitting judges. All Sins Remembered is his first novel in a trilogy.
A judge declared San Francisco Police Chief Earl Sanders “factually innocent” today of the nowdismissed indictment accusing him of conspiring to obstruct justice in the investigation of a street brawl involving three off-duty officers.
Sanders’ attorney, Phil Ryan, said in court papers that District Attorney Terence Hallinan filed declaring that he wouldn’t fight Sanders’ request did not actually declare the chief innocent. Ryan also stressed that the prosecutors should destroy the “degrading and humiliating mug shot.”
“Phil Ryan is a gifted storyteller-witty, intense, with an amazing knowledge of San Francisco, then and now, and a wonderful eye for telling details. This is a terrific debut!”
Max Byrd, best-selling author of “Jefferson,” “Grant,” (Bantam Books)
“The amazing thing about Phil Ryan is that he not only writes with refinement and rhythm, but speaks that way in the courtroom. To see and hear him in action is to be transported to the England of Winston Churchill.”
James Kavanaugh, best-selling author/poet who Larry King called, “The People’s Poet.”
